The Lifestyle Adviser Support Service (LASS) offers support and advice to people (over 16 years) wishing to make a lifestyle change to improve their health. This website contains information about the Lifestyle Adviser Support Service, where it operates and how you can access the service.
There is also a directory of Borders based community activities, a resources section with information on healthier living and some links to other websites.
The new Borders Community Activities Directory will help you identify suitable local activities for yourself or the people you work with. This directory can help you or your clients take a first step towards a healthier lifestyle. It covers physical activity as well as healthier eating, safer drinking, emotional well being and smoking services.
Due to the fact that provision of these activities changes from time to time, some of the listings may be out of date. Please help us to ensure the directory is kept up to date by sending details of any new activities or changes to the LASS Administrator, Primary & Community Services, Room 54, Rushbank, Newstead, Melrose, TD6 9DA. NHS Borders has not inspected all the activities listed and therefore cannot vouch for their safety or suitability.
If you have any thoughts, comments or suggestions or more information, we would be pleased to hear from you. Please contact the Service Administrator on 01896 824502 or email LASS.Team@borders.scot.nhs.uk
